Shortly after Casey had passed, I remember having a vivid dream that brought me immense comfort in what for all of us who know her was a difficult and trying time.

The dream was set in this true story:
In the fall of 2005, Casey, Amber, Rachel, Chris Klaniecki and myself were enjoying a late evening after the soccer dance at Springfield High School. At the end of the night Chris was dropping me off, and he pulled up to the curb at my neighbors house. I had been joking with Rachel all night about my brother, and I brought out a picture from inside my house so she could see it. In joking high school fashion, Chris and the girls wouldn't let Casey back into the car until we kissed in front of them, and the unlocked the door when we obliged their humor.

The dream took place on the exact patch of sidewalk/curb where Chris dropped me off that night. It seemed like a typical "foggy nightime dream" atmosphere, and Casey appeared to me. She said "Matt, I just wanted to let you know that I'm okay, even though I'm not here. Everything will be okay, I just have to go for now."

On this same night, Melissa Zirolli also had this dream. I am not one to interpret dreams in any arcane sort of way, but this dream certainly represents the kindness that Casey always showed to her family, friends, and loved ones.
