A favorite moment

It doesn’t matter how many times I tell this story – it is one of my favorite moments with Casey.

After a scary ride on the Chinatown bus from Philly, Rachael and I finally met Casey and proceeded to go to the most ‘tourist-y’ locations NYC had to offer. We stopped at Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Park Avenue (where I decided I would live after I married my 2nd rich husband and Casey decided she would live after she became successful on her own with a closet full of only name brands – Carrie Bradshaw to the fullest), Times Square and of course, Starbucks.

As it got darker out, we decided to go on top of the Empire State Building – one of the things I had never done in all of my trips to NYC.

It felt like forever waiting from elevator to elevator and line to line, but we finally walked out into the brisk breeze and saw what all the fuss was about.

It was breathtaking. It was a perfect starry night overlooking the beautiful city.

We took pictures of the view to attempt to capture it, and even got to see a man propose to his girlfriend!

Before we left someone offered to take our picture with the view in the background.

Although it was dark when the picture was taken and you can’t see much of the beautiful city below or the stars above – it captured one of our favorite moments. A moment we would talk about fondly for the next three years.

I will never forget that night and the beautiful stars with my beautiful friend.

“…and in that moment, i swear – we were infinite” – the perks of being a wallflower
